What if i don't ever become a senior position in my career, is that ok? I am in my 30s and i do feel somewhat lagging seeing peers around me holding a senior title.

I am wondering is that ok or i should try and talk to my boss about it. What is the pros and cons.

A triangle has a wide base. What are you trying to prove to yourself?

Hey, totally understand where you’re coming from. Not having a senior title by your 30s is more common than it seems, and it’s perfectly okay if your path looks different from your peers’.

If you’re feeling unsure, it might be worth having a chat with your boss, not just about titles, but about growth opportunities and expectations. That can give you clarity, whether or not you decide to aim for something more senior.

There are pros and cons either way: stability and less pressure versus more responsibility and potential for growth. It really depends on what suits you best.

Honesty is the best policy. If you are honest with yourself and capabilities, that is step 1, lest you fail badly. Run your race, never know what your end point will be like.
