What are your thoughts about joining Citigold just for the Citi Prestige card?

Does anyone know if I could just deposit 250k cash with Citigold, Get their Prestige credit card, then withdraw the cash out? I feel that the card's benefits are great but I do not wish to sacrifice the opportunity cost of parking 250k with them and could not apply it directly as my annual income is not 120k pa yet... Could someone with similar experiences please advise? Thank you in advance :)

You can just get the card without having a Citi good relationship provided your income is sufficient

You are right the card does have its perks and is a good card to hold

The other choice is to have some unsecured credit like a fixed deposit, the bank usually lets the application go through. Check with the customer service officers

They are two different products. You don't get Prestige just for having Citigold and must apply seprately

Also note Citigold allows fee waivers of Citi credit cards you hold but Prestige (along with Ultima) is considered premium product and isn't eligible for these fee waviers.
