Is it advisable to switch paying monthly income tax from GIRO to credit card for reward points instead?

I have been paying my monthly income tax through Giro. Do you think it advisable to switch to credit card payment and get the rewards points instead?

Read the t&c first. just to ensure that whatever you do, is still considered as eligible spending.

Not sure if this is possible and not sure if credit cards exempt such payments from accruing rewards like how insurance premium payments are exempted.
