I’m currently deciding between two job offers, and I’m curious how others would weigh the full package.
One offer comes with a higher monthly salary, which is obviously attractive. But the employee benefits are quite basic with fewer leave days, limited medical coverage, and not many welfare perks.
The other offer pays less, but the overall benefits package is stronger. It includes better medical coverage, more leave, flexible work arrangements, and other employee perks that could make day-to-day work more comfortable.
A higher base salary looks better upfront, but stronger benefits could be worth quite a lot over time.
For those who have faced a similar decision, how did you choose? Did you prioritise the higher guaranteed salary, or did the other factors like employee benefits influence your final decision?

Depending on your current life situation. For me, I want work life balance, so I will go for optimal salary with good work life balance, aka good company culture, benefits, reasonable job scope.

I prefer the latter offer. But the decision would probably weigh alot on your age and commitments.

I'd take the higher salary only if the difference is significant. Otherwise, better benefits, more leave, and flexibility can easily make the lower-paying offer the better deal overall.
