Daily food spending really depends on whether you cook or eat out. On workdays I usually spend a small amount on transport, then anywhere from a modest lunch to a sit-down dinner if I don’t feel like cooking. Casual chains help me control costs because I can check prices ahead of time and avoid surprises. For example, before going out I often look up menus online to see what fits my budget, especially when dining at places like Olive Garden where portions are filling. I recently came across this detailed menu breakdown that shows current prices and meal options, which makes planning easier: https://theolivegardenmenu.com/

On average for food about $30 to 50 daily (closer to 50 if eating with spouse, 30 if alone) - usually $5 and below for breakfast, for lunch and dinner, quite hard to find below $10 unless i want to limit my options
transport sometimes $0 (wfh), $4 (go office only), $10 (if travel around sg with spouse)

Depends on mood, if feeling disciplined can be $5 or below, else can go as high as $200, if I were to bring all my kids with me for a massage.

Daily spending really depends on routine and food choices. Many people try to keep food costs predictable by mixing home meals with affordable fast-casual options during busy workdays. Chains like Panda Express often fit that middle ground since combo bowls and plates usually stay within a set budget while still feeling filling. Knowing menu prices ahead of time also helps plan a daily food allowance, especially when transport already takes a fixed share. For anyone tracking lunch or dinner costs alongside commuting, a clear price breakdown can make daily budgeting much easier: https://thepandaexpressmenu.com/
